Roles and Responsibilities
- Evaluate New Plants Projects (NPP) activities for compliance to regulatory, customer, and GEH internal requirements, and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Lead Quality activities for the projects and act as the GEH main point of contact within Quality organizations.
- Create and implement Project Quality Control plans and procedures for associated activities.
- Ensure future error prevention through the use of the corrective actions process.
- Execute quality surveillance activities for New Nuclear Projects activities.
- Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex problems.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Review condition reports, audits, self-assessment reports and KPI information to identify trends and develop recommendations for performance improvement.
- Support future error prevention through the use of the corrective actions process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality or nuclear related field
- Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1
- Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III and ISO-9001
Desired Characteristics
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs
- Knowledge of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s Quality Assurance and business processes, as well as customer and competitive environments
- Knowledge of Nuclear Industry technologies (commercial light water, advanced and small modular reactors)
- Certified or able to be certified as a Lead Auditor to ASME NQA-1 or ANSI N45.2.23 requirements
- Strong team leadership experience, including supervisor responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Familiarity with Root / Apparent Cause Analysis tools / techniques
- Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer facilities/sites
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, proven ability to develop team relationships
Pay
This role's pay range is between $107,600.00 and $179,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
