About the role
The Project Quality Manager will apply technical proficiency to solutions for architectural problems and coordinate related project activities under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project Quality Plans (QPs)
- Review contracts to identify quality-related deliverables and ensure project's quality approach is embedded early in the project lifecycle
- Analyze Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) plans submitted by subconsultants and recommend adjustments if necessary
- Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews of work products and certify compliance with the project's Quality Plan
- Lead subconsultant quality assessments to validate adherence to project and corporate quality standards
- Participate in client- or owner-led external audits, provide project documentation, respond to inquiries, and represent project's quality processes
- Document all project non-conformances and track, communicate, and resolve issues in alignment with corporate procedures
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including reports, logs, trackers, and project quality bulletins
- Report all quality-related events, including near misses and incidents, to appropriate internal stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement efforts by contributing insights, participating in discussions, and helping project teams identify opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes
- Train project teams on AtkinsRéalis US quality requirements, project-specific procedures, and client-driven expectations
- Provide ongoing quality management consultation and direction to project design consultants, construction management teams, sub-consultants, and supplier/contractor organizations
- Guide multidisciplinary project teams and emerging quality professionals, helping them navigate corporate processes, understand project constraints, and develop strong quality-focused decision-making skills
- Participate in quality-related discussions and assist in problem-solving when quality events or issues emerge
- Ensure effective use of digital quality tools throughout the project
- Store all quality-related documentation in project directories using standardized structure and naming conventions
- Recommend system improvements and implement required corporate updates
- Communicate quality issues, concerns, and emerging risks to Senior Project Quality Managers or the Quality Group
- Coordinate and interface regularly with senior project managers, technical managers, senior technical professionals, project teams, and senior quality managers
- Attend meetings with clients, subconsultant leaders, and contractor teams, representing the project's quality approach, documenting feedback, and ensuring stakeholder expectations are understood and incorporated into project execution
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in quality auditing
- 3–7 years of QC/QA experience
- Bachelor's degree or five years of experience in engineering, business, architecture, or a science-related field
- Proficiency with ProjectWise, Bluebeam, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, confident, and persistent personality
- Leadership and management capabilities
- Ability to conduct and develop training
- Familiarity with ISO 9001
Qualifications
- Preferred certifications include: American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as a quality auditor and ASQ certification as manager of quality/organization excellence

Pay
Expected compensation range is between $104,000-$173,300 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
