PURPOSE
The primary role of the Project Manager is managing all project aspects, including the responsibilities and tasks outlined below. In addition to managing projects, a PM is responsible for:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Aid in pursuing, preconstruction, and business development activities
- Research prospective clients and assist in responding to RFQs and RFPs
- Participate in pursuit interviews and preconstruction meetings
- Ensure successful completion of QA/QC page turn process
- Understand and manage project-specific workforce and vendor participation goals
- Assist in estimating and bidding
- Manage subcontractor procurement and subcontractor change requests
- Support cost control and post-construction activities
- Attend and participate in various meetings and training sessions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of related experience, specifically including projects within the Technology/Life Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, Corporate, Light Industrial, Manufacturing, and K-12 sectors
- Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships and trust with external partners
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Thorough and detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints
- Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills, including Excel

- Sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal
- Communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise

- Visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures
- Climb ladders, walk on uneven surfaces, walk long distances, and climb stairs
