Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple service projects simultaneously, coordinating effectively with customers, union field labor, subcontractors, and vendors through project meetings and on-site engagement.
- Issue and manage vendor and subcontractor purchase orders, develop and maintain project schedules, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Own the financial performance of assigned projects, from budget establishment through final billing and closeout.
- Serve as the primary coordination and execution representative for Cox Service in both internal and external meetings, ensuring clear alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Field Supervision.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed on schedule, within cost targets, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Enforce and promote compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, in coordination with field supervision and company safety leadership.
- Communicate project status, risks, and financial performance clearly and proactively to customers, the Operations Manager, and Sales and Service Leadership.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect schedule, margin, and customer relationships.
- Manage scope changes and change orders in a controlled manner, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, and approval without compromising project objectives.
- Support project closeout activities, including documentation, billing completion, and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within HVAC, mechanical, or service-based construction environments.
- Proficiency using BuildOps (or similar service/project management platforms) for material purchasing, labor tracking, project billing, and accounts receivable.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead coordination meetings and represent the company professionally.
- Prioritize collaboration with clients, field personnel, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to stay highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities without losing control of financial or operational details.
