Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities as a Project Manager include:
- Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out
- Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors
- Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans
- Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project
- Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning
- Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins
Financial Ownership
Manage project revenue, size, and adherence to fulfillment guidelines
- Ensure timely invoicing, targeting 90% payment prior to elevator turnover
Customer Relationship Management
Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success.
- Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws
Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Preferred: Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
- Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
- Strong financial acumen
