Project Manager - Conveyance Systems

The OHM Advisors Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager with a strong background in sewer conveyance design and pipeline rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Assist and/or prepare and manage scope, schedule and budget for contracts.
- Managing staff, subconsultants and expenses during project implementation.
- Serve as Project Engineer and/or Project Manager with full technical responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution of tasks for small or larger projects.
- Preparation of contract specifications and drawings.
- Planning, design and construction of new pipelines (pressure and gravity) or rehabilitation projects ranging in diameters and material type including condition assessment and prioritization and rehabilitation of existing pipelines.
- Pipe design calculations to determine pipe size, pressure class, external loads including trench design, pipe joint selection, etc.
- Technical expertise in the layout and profiles of pipeline design in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Utility investigations and coordination to determine and resolve potential vertical and horizontal utility conflicts.
- Knowledge of subsurface and geotechnical engineering requirements.
- Field surveying project requirements.
- Sewer system evaluation surveys; inflow/infiltration studies.
- Development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, and data analysis.
- Office and field engineering support during construction.
Requirements
- Education, Experience, & Licensure:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
- Minimum of 5–15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on conveyance systems and managing projects and proposal writing.
- Experience with the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience with project management principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of trenchless technologies.
- NASSCO certification.
- Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
