About the role
Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on heavy and compact construction equipment, on-highway trucks, generators, industrial engines, and more. The company aims to understand its customers' evolving needs and provide high-quality sales, parts, and service.
Responsibilities
- Support the sales of Yancey Power Systems (YPS) products including generators, ATS, paralelling switchgear, and accessories.
- Manage multiple projects from initial stages to final customer acceptance.
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate project activities, including communication and leadership of team efforts.
- Work with customers to obtain submittal approvals, release for manufacturing, and ensure project timelines.
- Issue purchase orders to vendors for procurement of equipment and coordinate shipping services.
- Perform invoicing on all delivered goods and services.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and collaboration with Yancey Sales Reps.
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience as a project manager or engineer in the electric power industry or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, strong human relations skills, excellent verbal and written communications, self-motivation, and 5+ years of direct customer contact experience.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and power generation systems, particularly Caterpillar products.
