About the role
The Wendel Companies Project Management Office (PMO) seeks a dynamic, highly motivated professional to support our team in Albany, NY, Middletown, CT, or Williamsville, NY offices. This individual will actively participate in project fee and budget development, scope and schedule monitoring, and client relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and negotiation of project fees & budgets
- Monitor and control the project scope and project plan
- Select project team members
- Maintain accurate earned revenue, projections, and invoicing
- Control the project schedule and report to clients and project team members
- Monitor and control the QA/QC process
- Accountable for the success of a project
- Manage project management reports including percent complete, backlog, and sale forecast reports
- Develop, review, and monitor project work plans including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
- Facilitate internal and external quality reviews
- Organize and prepare contract scope, schedule, fee, and deliverable changes
- Follow-up on contract amendments
- Prepare and distribute client/stakeholder meetings, including presentation materials
- Assist with resource balancing and scheduling client/stakeholder meetings
- Aid in sales and marketing activities including letter proposal development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or Energy fields
- 2-5 years of experience in the field
- CAPM or PMP Certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience with project scheduling tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or Procore
- Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Working towards a career as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
