Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, controls, and directs company projects to ensure successful accomplishment of technical design, financial goals, and production and delivery objectives.
- Provides a single point of contact on project or program activities for both the customer and the company as well as coordinating project planning to ensure the identification of appropriate schedules, design efforts, costs, and other considerations.
- Captures and communicates project scope and technical aspects to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies and mitigates risks associated with projects and advises management and/or the customer of the impact.
- Negotiates cost and schedule modifications, develops and writes project plans, and assists in preparing cost and technical proposals.
- Coordinates and conducts production and project activities and meetings, schedules, internal meetings and customer presentations as required, and prepares and manages project budgets and expenses.
- Supports travel to support projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technical, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- Demonstrated professional project management skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience, 10 years preferred
- Electrical and mechanical background is required
- Proficient communication skills (oral & written)
- Writing and communication skills required for internal reporting company management and external reporting to customers/clients
- Project scheduling software expertise
- Supply chain and vendor management experience with effective price negotiation skills and cost control measures
- Technical aptitude to effectively understand, plan and communicate project scope and technical aspects
- Fundamental knowledge of workplace safety
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel 20%
- Willingness to continue professional development through training / classes / seminars
