Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation.
- Develop project plans, including scope definition, activities, cost estimates, schedules, and expectations.
- Work with the business group to determine and understand business requirements.
- Manage projects from concept through the planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases.
- Develop clear and concise "big picture" of projects within organizational goals.
- Lead project teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, and training.
- Manage project budgets, including risk assessment and impact of changes.
- Identify and minimize project risks or constraints impacting deliverables.
- Communicate and resolve concerns across departments that may impede or impact projects or initiatives.
- Maintain and archive project documentation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations.
- Set, manage, and communicate client expectations for projects.
- Oversee project progress to ensure documentation and schedules are in compliance with standards.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
- Monitor and control risks to meet timelines and project goals.
- Facilitate project team and client meetings for issue resolution.
- Provide project status reports to management.
- Collaborate with Procurement on vendor contracts and ensure quality, scope, legal, and risk management.
- Manage contracts' quality assurance, budget, and change control mechanisms.
- Serve as primary point of contact for project management issues.
- Secure resources and ensure proper utilization to meet budgetary requirements.
- Allocate team assignments and establish accountability, training, and team environment.
- Manage, execute, and communicate project plans, changes, and priorities.
- Establish team objectives, review work, and provide performance feedback.
- Promote team building and skills development within the project team.
- Manage multiple, large, and complex projects.
- Contribute to developing and modifying department policies and standards.
- Provide guidance on organization-wide issues and high-technical problem solving.
- Negotiate with division/department management for project resolution.
- Manage vendor relationships, participate in contract negotiations, and oversee contract quality and budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Extensive project management experience overseeing multiple, large complex projects.
- Advanced knowledge of project lifecycles, methodologies, and business requirements analysis.
- Expertise developing and managing relationships across business units and organization.
- Experience leading, guiding, and mentoring teams in changing environments.
- Strong understanding of contracts and their impact on projects.
- Proficiency with PCs and software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, database, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of financial operations (desired).
- PMP Certification (or equivalent experience managing enterprise projects) (desired).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to produce results and achieve goals.
- Experience directing project activities of broad functional areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or related field (desired).
