Responsibilities
- Controls Engineers:
- Specify and design control systems for various automated and semi-automated machines.
- Develop and validate modular, well-documented code required to implement these systems.
- Test, maintain, and modify new and existing systems.
- Control Panel design, product selection, and checkout.
- Define, develop, and implement ladder logic programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Create and implement HMI applications and screens.
- Support system start-up and commissioning, including on-site qualification of control systems.
- Develop operation and maintenance manuals.
- Provide support to project management, materials personnel, and craftsmen throughout project phases.
- BIM Technicians:
- Create and maintain effective relationships with internal employees and upper management.
- Plan, review, and update drafts and activities to ensure project completion in a timely manner.
- Electrical Engineer (PE):
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of power system modeling software and willingness to learn SKM Powertools software.
- Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Fluent with the National Electric Code.
- Ability to apply sound engineering solutions while considering budget, schedule, and operational performance.
- Good understanding of electricity, electrical components, and interconnection of system components.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics, process diagrams, and network diagrams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate throughout the organization.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently.
- Able to work accurately and on time.
- Able to manage time, workload, and seek additional assignments as necessary.
- Well organized and able to work on multiple project assignments.
- Able to retain lessons learned and apply to new projects across multiple industries.
- Willing to do whatever it takes to support the project team to complete project requirements on time.
- Design Engineers:
- Control panel design and product selection based on system specifications, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
- Creation of electrical schematics and panel design drawings in AutoCAD Electrical in compliance with company standards.
- Updates to existing control system designs and drawings.
- Closer collaboration with controls engineers, project managers, and panel shop personnel.
- Mentorship and support of developing designers.
- Maintenance of parts information databases and symbol libraries.
- Evaluation of new and upgraded industry equipment for acceptability of use.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- Provide mentorship for lower-level engineers by delegating project tasks and teaching necessary skills.
- Organize project requirements and activities with project team.
- Review work generated by lower-level engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to apply sound engineering solutions to projects.
- Participation in internal project meetings.
- Coordination of project requirements and activities with customers directly.
- Review mechanical designs, details, and pneumatic diagrams for accuracy and functionality.
- Mechanical system design & detailing.
- Travel to customer worksites and work independently for field investigation, installation support, commissioning, and production startup support.
- Specifying of mechanical and pneumatic components.
- Creation of drawing packages.
- Creation of bill of materials.
- Creation of job releases.
- Hardware procurement.
- Assistance in troubleshooting and debugging of systems.
- Senior Controls Engineer:
- Responsible for designing and implementing control systems for automated machines and processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project success.
- Apply sound engineering solutions while considering budget, schedule, and operational performance.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications
- Controls Engineers:
- Bachelor's or four-year degree equivalent in Engineering or 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor of Electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Ability to apply sound engineering solutions while considering budget, schedule, and operational performance.
- Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- An understanding of how things work mechanically and electrically as well as the ability to learn new manufacturing processes.
- Computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- AutoCAD, HMI, PLC, SCADA experience preferred.
- Understanding of the National Electric Code and UL 508A.
- BIM Technicians:
- Bachelor's or four-year degree equivalent or combination of technical training/related construction experience.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for the projects and services with a heavy emphasis on estimating, construction knowledge, and project management.
- Experience in the electrical industry and project management experience estimating within the commercial/industrial electrical construction industry.
- Electrical Engineer (PE):
- BS, Electrical Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE).
- PE license is preferred for interested candidates – Willingness to obtain a PE credential is required.
- Design Engineers:
- 2+ year degree, certificate or equivalent in electrical engineering, electrical technology, automation, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with EPLAN preferred.
- Strong understanding of electricity, electrical components, and interconnection of system components.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics, process diagrams, and network diagrams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam or other PDF editor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate throughout the organization.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently.
- Able to work accurately and on time.
- Able to manage time, workload, and seek additional assignments as necessary.
- Well organized and able to work on multiple project assignments.
- Able to retain lessons learned and apply to new projects across multiple industries.
- Willing to do whatever it takes to support the project team to complete project requirements on time.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- BS or higher degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD.
- Advanced knowledge of pneumatics.
- Senior Controls Engineer:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related field.
- Strong technical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to manage changing priorities across multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate throughout the organization.
- Able to work accurately and on time.
- Able to manage time, workload, and seek additional assignments as necessary.
- Well organized and able to work on multiple project assignments.
- Able to retain lessons learned and apply to new projects across multiple industries.
- Willing to do whatever it takes to support the project team to complete project requirements on time.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office products.

- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
