Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary project liaison with campus staff and manage projects from initiation through completion of construction.
- Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.
- Manage facility user groups, operations, and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions to ensure project goals are met.
- Manage planning, design, and execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, and coordination.
- Lead meetings with owner, architects, and contractors and provide leadership in client relations.
- Responsible for project budget, scheduling, and procurement of design and construction services.
- Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.
- Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements.
- Facilitate timely review of contract documents at schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of the work.
- Review and approve design, construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, guaranteed maximum price submittals, bid documents, and pay applications.
- During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes.
- Apply project control processes to track progress, maintain consistency, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience providing professional project management and leadership with vertical experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering related fields.
- Experience in healthcare and research is required.
- Experience working on multiple large healthcare projects within the construction industry is required.
- Registration as Professional Architect or Engineer is preferred.
