About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering IT projects to schedule, budget, and quality, integrating technology into construction phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project charters and scopes, ensuring timely delivery of technology solutions aligned with construction project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure alignment with relevant EY stakeholder playbooks for pre-initiate through project closure process.
- Execute relevant project management processes, focusing on the integration of technology into construction phases, including scope, cost, time, risk, resource, and stakeholder management.
- Monitor and control project activities to ensure alignment with technology deployment objectives and construction timelines.
- Manage risks, issues, and changes across both business and IT components of construction projects.
- Report variances to the approved project baseline, providing insights into technology integration challenges and successes.
- Interface and communicate effectively with project teams, management, and stakeholders to ensure seamless technology deployment.
- Oversee project work and resources to facilitate the successful and timely implementation of technology solutions.
- Conduct gate reviews and quality assurance assessments related to technology integration within construction projects.
- Deliver projects that align with overall business and technology strategies and are implemented according to industry best practices for RE construction projects.
- Manage external contracts and suppliers as necessary to support technology deployment.
- Collaborate with project stakeholder teams to develop business cases, focusing on technology solutions that align with stated requirements and offices use.
- Define project objectives, phases, and content to deliver on business case benefits, budget, and timelines, with a focus on technology integration.
- Ensure adherence to quality project standards as prescribed by EY Technology through effective implementation of approved processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
- 15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, particularly in construction-related IT projects.
- Relevant experience in technical fields such as deployment/implementation, and infrastructure within the construction industry.
- Project management certification (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2).
- Familiarity with ITIL v2 or v3.
- Work experience in a professional services industry, particularly in a construction-based technology deployment role.
