Your role

You will be responsible for managing manufacturing projects. This role will ensure the definition of manufacturing problem(s), the development of evaluation frameworks, the completion of in-depth analyses, and the periodic development of capital investment business cases to validate assumptions and benefits for the organization. By working with various functional stakeholders both inside and outside Elopak, this role will support the development, facilitation, and long-term maintenance of asset capacity throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop detailed business case analyses to support capital investments;
  • Identify future strategic capital investment needs;
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities and create strong business cases for the deployment of new technologies;
  • Participate and lead the monthly capital projects review with the management team;
  • Manage project planning, execution and closing while respecting budget, schedule, workforce availability, and deliverable quality;
  • Manage project communications with all internal and external stakeholders associated with the projects;
  • Ensure oversight of work site during the implementation phase;
  • Plan and organize required training with internal clients;
  • Validate the compliance of all new installations with applicable local standards, codes and best practises;
  • Document all assigned projects in accordance with our ISO procedures;
  • Support the maintenance team in improving equipment reliability;
  • Support the maintenance team with troubleshooting and SOP creation.

This is what we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automated Production, or other relevant education;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in the packaging and/or food industry;
  • Experience in industrial automation (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, industrial robots, PLC networks);
  • Good knowledge of GMP standards and SQF, ISO, and HACCP quality certifications;
  • Able to manage priorities and coordinate several projects and/or tasks simultaneously while remaining results-oriented;
  • Good knowledge of CMMS;
  • Demonstrate the following skills and qualities: leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and customer-oriented skills, planning ability, agility, promotion of innovation and change, respect, and rigor.
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Able to work under pressure in a constantly evolving environment;
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Office, and MS Project;
  • PMI certification (an asset).
