Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout activities.
- Maintain effective communication of project schedules to all stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, manpower challenges, equipment needs, and project risks.
- Monitor project budgets, cost performance, billing, forecasting, and profitability.
- Review contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project documentation.
- Lead regular project review meetings to evaluate financial performance, production, safety, and operational effectiveness.
- Support estimating and pre-construction efforts, including bid reviews, project handoffs, and strategic planning.
- Ensure projects maintain compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to optimize labor, equipment, and resource allocation across projects.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and future leaders within the organization.
- Drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Aid in business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying future opportunities.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in construction project management, operations management, or executive project leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in paving, asphalt, concrete, excavation, site development, heavy civil construction, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and project teams simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, and contract administration.
- Experience leading Project Managers, Superintendents, and field operations teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience overseeing paving, excavation, concrete, and sitework operations across multiple projects.
- Experience managing projects for commercial, industrial, municipal, or DOT clients.
