Project Environmental Scientist

About the role

Arcadis is hiring a Project Environmental Scientist to join its Ohio/Midwest U.S. Industrial Hygiene team. The ideal candidate is an experienced industrial hygiene professional with deep expertise in chemical exposure assessments, noise monitoring, asbestos, lead-based paint, hazardous materials, indoor air quality and mold consulting, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and oversee contractors.
• Document field activities accurately using standard forms and electronic survey tools.
• Cookordinate with program managers, project teams, and subcontractors to gather information for technical reports.
• Review industrial hygiene field documentation for accuracy and completeness, validate findings, and develop recommendations with guidance from technical leadership.
• Interpret laboratory reports.
• Prepare technical memoranda and reports.

Role accountabilities

• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a project team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in science
• 8+ years in consulting or professional services
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations related to asbestos and mold
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• RCPA/DOT Hazardous Waste Shipping Training

Pay

The salary range for this position is $88,800.00 - $133,200.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
