Environmental Project Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties.
• Take detailed field notes, photographs, and conduct interviews.
• Perform regulatory agency file reviews, review historic data, and environmental databases.
• Draft standardized reports in accordance with ASTM E-1527-21 (AAI).
• Conduct preliminary screenings of listed and/or proposed threatened or endangered species, critical habitat, National Wetland Inventory Maps (NWI), FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), and correspond with Tribal, federal, state, and local agencies.
• Prepare template NEPA reports.

• Experience conducting one or more of the following assessments is welcomed but not mandatory: Phase I ESAs, Avian surveys, NEPA assessments, Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Asbestos/lead based paint inspections, HAZPOWER and/or ACM/LBP licensing.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields.
