Responsibilities

  • Support and execute Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), including site visits, historical research, and technical report preparation.
  • Conduct stormwater sampling in compliance with NPDES requirements and perform limited asbestos sampling, including fieldwork and reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of SPCC/DPCC plans.
  • Provide technical, administrative, and billable project support to Project Managers and Client Managers, contributing to project execution, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams and maintain thorough knowledge of and compliance with Atlas policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in fieldwork, meticulous attention to documentation, and a desire for professional advancement within the environmental consulting sector.
  • Experience performing Phase I and Phase II ESAs, including site visits, field activities, and technical report writing.
  • Familiarity with Preliminary Assessments per NJDEP Guidelines and strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and due diligence processes, including ASTM E1527.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to perform field work under limited supervision in full compliance with Atlas and client safety protocols.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification with a current refresher (preferred) and working knowledge of DPCC/SPCC plans (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used software; working knowledge of the Quire platform is a plus.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated project and client management experience within an environmental consulting environment.

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences, with 5+ years of experience performing Phase I and Phase II ESAs.
