About the role

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to join our established Water Services team in Ft. Worth, Dallas, or Frisco, Texas. This position will perform a wide array of Water Business Line planning, modeling, and design projects for clients in Texas, including:

Distribution systems: conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units, and reservoirs
Collection systems: interceptor, network, and outfall piping, pump stations

The Project Engineer will be led by a Senior Project Manager and work within a multi-discipline team of design engineers and CAD technicians to produce design-phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently
Effectively communicate with internal and external clients one-on-one, in groups, or in presentations
Steer a team of junior project engineers and CAD Technicians to accomplish design, budget, and project requirements
Gain marketing and project management experience

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to gain licensure within 6 months of hire
3 or more years of related water/wastewater design experience
Familiarity with ODEQ regulations
Strong communication skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook

Preferred Skills

WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or Civil3D experience
Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
Design/build experience
