Department: Pharmacy - Admin | FTE: 1.00 Full Time | Shift: Rotating

About the role

Provide a systematic and objective approach for the coordination and support of initiatives and projects for the assigned areas. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate multi-disciplinary teams in identifying system performance, cost, and productivity problems, and in planning, developing, and implementing performance improvement activities.
• Conduct data collection, retrieval, and analysis. Display and present statistically valid data in a variety of formats for both assigned areas and committees.
• Provide baseline and benchmark information to identify and prioritize processes for clinical process improvement and disease management.
• Facilitate problem identification and resolution by understanding and applying continuous Quality Improvement tools and processes.
• Prepare statistical reports on program services, revenues, and trends; prepare interval and annual reports.
• Identify key processes and determine the most effective way of measuring these processes.
• Research, coordinate, and assist in the development, dissemination, and implementation of program initiatives.
• Collate and report on variations in practice patterns on an ongoing basis.
• Update the Director on the status of all ongoing project activities.
• Coordinate Hospitals participation in external benchmarking activities.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of services provided.
• Maintain active membership in pertinent committees and provide support or facilitation for these committees, when necessary.
• Establish and maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and Hospitals employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (required). Master’s Degree in a related discipline (preferred).
• 3 years of directly related experience.
• Related education and experience may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
