Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit, managing patients with acute respiratory and medical conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator weaning, and medication drips. Collaborates closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards. Key Responsibilities: Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Engages in ongoing professional development.Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, communicating effectively across care teams and the patient’s support system.Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement.Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times. Qualifications: Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles. Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and quality care; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
