Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Full-Time, Nights)

Role Overview

This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized pulmonary progressive care unit, managing patients with acute respiratory and medical conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator support. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice nurses, social workers, and therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards.
• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-treatment needs.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree, RN licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 2+ years of experience.
• Safety-sensitive role demanding alertness and safe work practices.
