Role Overview

The registered nurse in this position provides high-quality care in a 9-bed pulmonary progressive care unit with private rooms, focusing on patients with acute respiratory conditions such as pre/post lung transplant, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator weaning.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications.
  • Promote patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a healing, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Less than 2 years of experience preferred; no supervisor experience required.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
