About the role
Make a difference in your community and help support farmers, ranchers, and producers nationwide as a Program Technician with USDA’s Farm Service Agency. This position is located in Red Bluff, CA as part of the California State FSA Office in Tehama County. Recruitment began on October 7, 2026 and the listing expires on October 23, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Receive extensive on-the-job training to develop proficiency in all functions and operations of your assigned Field Office.
- Perform clerical support, loan processing and servicing, office management, general information, and public relations.
- Assist the Farm Loan Chief, Farm Loan Branch specialists, Farm Loan team managers, and District Directors on farm loan program procedural matters.
- Participate in training to individuals and groups in the preparation and processing of loan documents and loan procedural changes.
- Provide technical assistance to the Branch team in processing bankruptcy and farm foreclosure cases.
- Prepare and discuss new promissory notes, terms, and deeds of trust with borrowers.
- Determine need for additional information or contacts as necessary.
