Program Support Technician

About the role

Axiom Space is seeking a Program Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our cutting-edge aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Assembly, cleaning, and reassembly of aerospace hardware
• Processing of parts to specified levels of cleanliness
• Maintenance and sustaining of precision cleaning lab equipment
• Performing repair and maintenance tasks
• Cleaning and inspection of hardware
• Incorporating Engineering Changes (EC)
• Assembling, disassembling, and performing performance/functional testing
• Interfacing with customers, other technicians, engineers, logistics, and bond room personnel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 15+ years’ experience in a related field
• Precision cleaning experience with xEMU/EMU and verification of cleanliness of hardware
• Knowledge of NASA standards for precision cleaning and verification
• Familiarity with NASA Contamination Control Requirements
• Knowledge of NASA documentation involving verification of cleanliness of flight hardware
• Experience working with external organizations such as NASA Engineering, Safety, and Quality
• Experience using a wide variety of precision tools and measuring devices
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
