Program Support Assistant
About the role
The Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is hiring one (1) Program Support Assistant for the CTRS (Care Treatment & Rehabilitation Services) Program of the Community Engagement and Reintegration Service in Los Angeles, California. The primary purpose of the position is to perform secretarial duties in support of an individual and in some cases, the subordinate staff of that individual as well, by performing general office work for the CTERS program.
Responsibilities
- Affirmatively assist in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
- Establish protocols for incoming data, organize computerized data sets, and retrieve computerized data.
- Perform a basic analysis of the data and generate a variety of reports.
- Evaluate documents, including sampling plans, permit applications, and other data collection forms.
- Cover incoming data from various sources.
- Review documents, reports, and applications for omissions and inconsistencies, ensuring data entry is complete and accurate.
- Enter pertinent information into an automated tracking system and maintain an automated system of program-specific data to track items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies, etc.
- Perform office automation duties using software applications like electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, spreadsheet, database, and graphics.
- Conduct routine supply runs and monitor inventory to maintain availability of office supplies and operational resources.
- Troubleshoot user application problems, such as recovery procedures in case of power outages, surges, or command errors.
- Process incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
- Develop background information and prepare outlines for supervisors' public speaking engagements, papers, and correspondence/reports.
- Support GPD, HCHV-CRS, CTRS, and HPACT services.
- Use of government furnished motor vehicle is required to perform the duties of this position.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/17/2026. Specialized experience is required equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: perform secretarial duties in support of an individual and in some cases, the subordinate staff of that individual as well, by performing general office work auxiliary to the work of the organization.
