About the role
The Program Supervisor at Toomey Residential and Community Services is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of a residence and providing positive role modeling to individuals receiving services. They also provide support and supervision to Direct Support Professionals.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the efficient operation of a residence
- Provides positive role modeling to individuals receiving services to achieve daily goals and objectives
- Provides support and supervision to Direct Support Professionals in their work and relationships with individuals living in a group home setting
- Aids in the development of day, residential, activity and behavioral habilitation plans
- Promotes and ensures a safe and positive environment
Requirements
- Must be 21 years' old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less
- High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years relevant experience
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in another human service area or in a health care field preferred
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
Qualifications
- To successfully complete the OPWDD fingerprinting clearance

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of disability-related issues and best practices
