Maintenance Program Coordinator (Full-Time) $21.00/hour

About the role

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. We are dedicated to caring for those in need, promoting human development, and eliminating poverty and injustice.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems/units.
• Maintain and remodel properties as required, including sheet rocking, painting, and masonry.
• Coordinate client relocation, including the physical movement of client belongings and logistical coordination.
• Provide on-site supervision of maintenance staff to ensure work orders are completed correctly and on-time.
• Report unsafe or unsanitary conditions in the units to the Operations Coordinator.
• Maintain guidelines established by funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
• Exercise independent judgment and decision-making around general operations of apartments.
• Perform other tasks/duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, business or trade school degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in property maintenance and repair preferred.
• Candidates with lived experience are preferred and encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License, Registered and Insured Vehicle State Central Registry Clearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
• Basic interpersonal/social communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
