About the role

POAH Communities is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Maintenance Technician for Brandy Hill Apartments in Wareham, MA. Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff
  • Maintain knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations
  • Monitor the condition of apartment property and immediately correct unsafe conditions
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment
  • Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs
  • Complete all make-ready repairs and services
  • Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services
  • Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean (rake, sweep, shovel as necessary)

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance
  • High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance (use of personal vehicle may be required)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call as necessary
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices
  • Physical ability to perform duties 66-100% of the time: standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder, climbing ladders, grasping, gripping, turning, finger dexterity, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance forms and warning labels
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Pay

$23.63 - $27.00 per hour
