About the Role

Plans and implements programs and initiatives for assigned department.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with operational coordination of department programs and activities, social media and communication outreach, databases and file management, internal and external correspondence.
  • Coordinates logistics arrangements of major domestic and international conferences and speaking engagements, including handling all travel arrangements and accommodations, catering arrangements for banquets and luncheons, logistics for speaking presentations, preparation of meeting schedules, crowd control, and prompt processing of reimbursements.
  • Assists with departmental purchases, travel, and expenditures.
  • Assists with program budgets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table.
  • Uses standard office equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification, or combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, oral, written, and organizational communication skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Pay

Salary range: $23.37 - $36.19 per hour. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in this job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including qualifications, performance, equity with others in the department, market rates, and department budget.
