About the role

The Program Coordinator at Toomey Residential and Community Services is responsible for the efficient operation of the program, its staff, and individuals receiving services. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing goals, creating and assessing residential and behavioral habilitation plans, maintaining accurate records, hiring and training staff, and collaborating with other service providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goals for individuals receiving services.
• Create and assess residential and behavioral habilitation plans.
• Maintain accurate fiscal and program records.
• Hire, provide orientation, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Participate in agency trainings as a team trainer.
• Communicate and collaborate with other service providers and staff.
• Monitor and manage personal allowance funds and household accounts.
• Administer basic first aid and medication as prescribed.
• Assume on-call responsibility as assigned.
• Adhere to the philosophy of Toomey Residential and practice NADSP Core Competencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two to five years of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation; registered and insured vehicle.
• Must be able to use personal vehicle for work purposes.

Qualifications

• NYS Central Registry Clearance.
• NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting and background check.
