Responsibilities

• Support advanced undersea warfare systems development, integration, and operations.
• Lead Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) concept development, requirements development, employment development, design oversight, and programmatic coordination with a Department of Defense customer.
• Shape the next generation of undersea capabilities and their employment in rapidly evolving competition with global peers.
• Contribute to impactful national security initiatives while leading development in the unique undersea domain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, oceanography, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience with undersea warfare operations, including direct UUV operational or technical involvement.
• Demonstrated understanding of UUV capabilities, challenges, and future development trajectories.
• Strong working knowledge of Navy acquisition processes, Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development, and systems integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; high emotional intelligence.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 or equivalent products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• U.S. Citizenship with current SECRET security clearance, able to obtain TS/SCI.

Qualifications

• Previous O-4/O-5 Submariner with experience in a UUV Squadron (UUVRON).
• Experience working with UUV’s at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Office of Naval Research (ONR), or Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
• Strong understanding and proficient practice of the Navy’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes.
• Master’s Degree in a related field.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000. This range represents a good-faith estimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation is determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range.

Schedule

Work Location: 100% On-Site – The Pentagon, Arlington, VA.; 20% Travel Required.
