About the role
U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry. The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates non-union personnel within manufacturing and assembly departments to produce timing chain system components.
Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, train, coach, and supervise daily activities of employees engaged in the production process to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals.
- Create and monitor daily efficient flow of material through the department using manpower and equipment.
- Determine and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and the overall department.
- Monitor yearly department budget to ensure cost-reduction goals are met for production and MRO supplies.
- Foster working relationships with associated departments such as Planning, Engineering, and Quality.
- Establish and maintain effective communication through toolbox meetings and employee meetings.
- Understand, communicate, and follow all company policies, work rules, and Union Contract to resolve work problems, maintain time and attendance records, coordinate department activities, ensure inventory accuracy, and make daily decisions on production schedules and personnel matters.
- Work to a high ethical standard and comply with all company policies, work rules, Union Contractual agreements, and applicable laws with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience; 5–7 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in heat treating, metal finishing, or working with metals is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word required.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and propose resolutions.
Schedule
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, depending on operational needs.

Pay
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for the position. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. Tsubaki may pay more or less than the anticipated range based on market data and other considerations.
