About the Role
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor based at our facility in Huntsville, AL. Shift hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Ensure manufacturing remains a safe, smooth, and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows to meet schedule compliance.
- Report to the Production Manager and collaborate with 1st Shift Production Supervisors and Production Planning/Scheduling to prepare and review daily/weekly schedules.
- Supervise and allocate 2nd shift production personnel to execute the daily/weekly production plan on time.
- Seek improved methods of operation by taking a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communicate daily/weekly/monthly objectives and expectations to shift employees.
- Organize workflow, plan day-to-day tactics, and lead production operations with attention to detail.
- Oversee and coach employees, providing positive reinforcement, recognition, and corrective action as needed.
- Cross-train staff by encouraging employee development through performance reviews, feedback, and accountability.
- Challenge others toward improvements and growth.
- Ensure safe equipment use by following SOPs and enforcing compliance with safety guidelines and company standards.
- Monitor production output in real time and implement recovery plans when production falls behind schedule.
- Compile and submit end-of-shift reports.
- Use analytical skills to identify issues in efficiency, productivity, waste, or standard practices.
- Participate in LEAN/Value Stream Mapping initiatives and track KPIs such as Efficiency, Productivity, Safety Record, and Scrap Generated.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal Manufacturing processes, including Welding (Spot, MIG, TIG), Manual and CNC machines, hand and power tool use, Powder Coat Paint processes, and reading custom work orders/blueprints/drawings.
- Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with timekeeping programs and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Work Environment
Candidate must be able to safely move throughout the plant, including standing, bending, and occasional lifting. Required PPE includes steel-toed shoes, protective eyewear, and arm sleeves due to the metal nature of materials used in this facility.
