Production Supervisor - 1st Shift
About the role
Reporting to the Business Unit Leader at our Council Bluffs, IA facility, local producers of Marie Callendar, Healthy Choice, Banquet products and more, you will lead plant operations and process improvement efforts by guiding teams to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead team members to execute daily production plans that meet quality, productivity, and cost standards
- Identify and resolve production constraints, ensure resources are aligned to daily plans
- Foster an engaged, team-oriented workforce that drives continuous improvement and business results
- Support employee development through training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Support oversight of sanitation and operations activities to maintain a clean, food safe manufacturing environment
- Ensure adherence to plant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Promote and support plant and company safety programs and compliance with defined safety requirements
- Participate in development of daily plans and delivery of daily line performance
- Drive execution and sustainment of standard work to achieve daily direction setting results
- Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure effective communication and alignment between shifts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements

You will be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.
Pay
Average Annual Salary Range: $64,000 - $95,000
