Position Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Tavil Department, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards in food safety, product quality, team engagement, and workplace safety. This hands-on leadership role works closely with Customer Service, Production, and other departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Production & Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Inspect products to verify compliance with quality specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments as needed.
- Establish and adjust workflows to meet production demands and maximize departmental efficiencies.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to production methods, processes, and product quality.
- Analyze production challenges and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve performance.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational and personal growth goals.
- Communicate company policies, expectations, and safety procedures while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Assign duties, provide training, and support employees to ensure success in their roles.
- Conduct regular performance discussions, annual evaluations, and create individualized development plans for team members.
- Motivate employees to achieve departmental goals and maintain high levels of engagement.
- Food Safety & Workplace Safety
- Enforce all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation standards.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with company safety policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and support departments to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate production records, labor tracking, and material inventories.
- Estimate and requisition materials as needed to support uninterrupted production.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Education & Experience
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, food processing, poultry production, or a related industry preferred.
- Experience supervising teams, operating production equipment, and improving efficiencies is highly desirable.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
