Production Supervisor- 1st Shift

General Description

• Supervise, lead and train members of press or assembly teams.
• Plan, assign, and direct workflow.
• Monitor total output, quality and compliance with 5S practices.
• Analyze and interpret production and scrap records and work consistently to improve these measures.
• Follow defined processes and maintain compliance with ISO/TS standards and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Recommend & implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
• Aid in employee selection and team development.
• Track and enter employee hours, attendance and vacation time.
• Train employees in specific knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform work.
• Assist the company in identifying ongoing training and development initiatives to support the goals of the organization.
• Work with HR and other members of management team to resolve employee problems, complaints and grievances.
• Enforce company safety regulations and hold weekly safety talks and other employee meetings as necessary.
• Follow and consistently apply disciplinary and other company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of robotic stamping press tending systems &/or robotic assembly.
• Previous automotive manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Strong production/manufacturing background.
• Computer/System skills including Word, Excel, ERP, etc.
• Effective leadership, organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills & the ability to read and interpret part inspection plans, schematics and workflow charts.
• High School Diploma.
• Strong knowledge of automotive stamping.
