Product Line Specialist

About the role

Research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure P&L profitability and growth are key elements of this position. The Product Line Specialist will also handle individual part data, inventory, and opportunity management, and engage in continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency. This role supports Product Managers in maintaining the existing portfolio while driving growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and provide recommendations in contract management, inventory management, forecasting, and investment opportunities.
• Conduct research on products, the market, and competition to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Manage part number key attributes, alternate parts, and supportive documentation.
• Manage and enhance Product Management tools and reporting.
• Conduct sourcing for strategic bid opportunities.
• Oversee Excess and Obsolete inventory reduction efforts.
• Assist with various reports and presentations.
• Support Product Managers in achieving overall P&L goal targets.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for efficient research and analysis of large datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with multiple priorities.
• Business acumen, including a basic understanding of financial tools.
