Private Duty Nurse LVN - Weekend Days

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide skilled nursing care in home settings, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document patient care according to physician plans and assessments.
• Monitor patient condition, report changes, and update care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management and self-care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards and professional boundaries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing activities and responses.
• Recognize and respond to patient needs to prevent or reduce risks.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered nursing license in the practice state.
• Current CPR certification and TB skin test within the last 12 months.
• Six months of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation, attention to detail, effective time management, and strong communication skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reposition patients, and move equipment independently.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
• Capability to work in diverse environments with exposure to bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
• Ability to travel and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
