This role involves leading strategic technology initiatives that shape advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee complex technology and manufacturing initiatives
- Connect technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners
- Provide strategic direction, establish execution frameworks, and ensure successful delivery of advanced technology programs aligned with organizational objectives
- Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated technology and manufacturing process roadmaps aligned with business priorities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish project goals, execution plans, timelines, resource strategies, budgets, and risk management approaches
- Drive technology readiness assessments and support the transition of emerging technologies into production environments
- Facilitate technology reviews, governance meetings, decision forums, and strategic portfolio discussions
- Develop and implement project management tools, processes, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and execution consistency
- Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication, progress reporting, and structured execution cadence
- Mentor and coach project managers while promoting collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Experienced engineering project leader with a strong background in technology development, hardware programs, and cross-functional execution
- Demonstrated success managing complex initiatives, translating technical concepts into actionable strategies, and driving innovation into commercial applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of professional experience
- Project management certification such as PMP, CSM, MPM, or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience leading complex technology, process development, and research-based projects
- Strong understanding of technology readiness levels, Stage-Gate processes, and technology transfer methodologies
- Experience managing technology roadmaps, portfolio planning, project schedules, budgets, resources, and risks
- Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural and global teams, including mentoring, coaching, or supervising project managers
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, plating, or high-speed cable and cable assembly manufacturing is preferred
- Experience building external technical partnerships and driving technology integration into product and manufacturing organizations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management and planning tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
