Primary Care Provider - Float Pool

About the Role

This position involves practicing professional nursing or medicine, performing independent and delegated medical functions in line with accepted standards. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various health conditions, and promoting health maintenance and support.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review patient data, medical history, and relevant studies
• Assess and diagnose patient conditions, including differential diagnoses
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physicians’ input
• Perform procedures within scope and in compliance with regulations
• Educate patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion
• Document all clinical activities accurately
• Conduct telehealth encounters and manage administrative tasks
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and adhere to safety protocols
• Lead and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and certification
• Participate in quality assurance, mentoring, and compliance activities

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing (APN) or Bachelor's degree for PA, from accredited programs
• Relevant licensure, certification, and registration as required (e.g., RN, NP, PA licenses, DEA registration, BLS, NPI)
• Ability to perform procedures within scope and adhere to legal and organizational policies
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
