About the Role

Practice professional nursing and medicine by performing independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various conditions, and promoting health maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Gather medical history, conduct physical exams, review lab/radiologic studies, and assess patient status.
  • Develop, implement, and prioritize treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including medication and testing orders.
  • Perform procedures within expertise and organizational policies.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion, ensuring culturally sensitive communication.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Conduct telehealth encounters, manage urgent situations, and perform clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Lead patient-centered care, promote safety and confidentiality, and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.
  • Maintain licensure, certifications, participate in continuing education, and adhere to relevant laws and policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in nursing for Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Bachelor's degree for Physician Assistant (PA), from accredited programs.
  • Valid state licensure and certifications, including prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform procedures within scope and adapt to varying patient needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
