About the role

This position involves practicing professional nursing or medicine, including independent and delegated medical functions, patient advocacy, and delivering comprehensive care. The role requires applying scientific principles to assess, diagnose, and treat various human conditions, promoting health maintenance and supportive care.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and review diagnostic studies.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses with differential considerations.
  • Develop and execute treatment plans, including medication orders and follow-up care, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform procedures within expertise and regulatory guidelines.
  • Counsel patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion, respecting cultural sensitivities.
  • Record all clinical data and care activities accurately.
  • Conduct telehealth encounters, manage emergency situations, and perform clinical or administrative duties as needed.

Professional Expectations

  • Maintain clinical competence through ongoing education and certification.
  • Participate in mentoring, quality assurance, and peer review activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and licensure requirements.
  • Promote the roles of advanced practice providers and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in nursing for APN or Bachelor's for PA, from accredited programs.
  • Valid licensure and certifications, including prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and full prescriptive authority as required.
