About the role

The Head Start Lead Teacher will lead a preschool classroom serving children ages 3–5, creating a safe, engaging learning environment, implementing developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, and supporting school readiness across all developmental areas.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, engaging learning environment

Requirements

• Experience leading a preschool classroom
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with families and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Valid Ohio Early Childhood Educator License
• At least two years of experience working with young children

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
