About the role

The Head Start Lead Teacher will lead a preschool classroom serving children aged 3–5, creating a safe and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities include implementing developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, supporting school readiness in all developmental areas, guiding daily classroom operations, mentoring support staff, monitoring child progress, and building strong partnerships with families.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Lead Teacher or higher-level position in early childhood education
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Valid Ohio Early Childhood Educator License
• Experience working with diverse populations and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
