About the role

The Prep Room Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the preparation area within a consumer support services environment. This position ensures that all materials, equipment, and products are prepared efficiently and meet quality standards to support seamless service delivery. The supervisor will lead and coordinate a team, managing workflow, schedules, and training to optimize productivity and maintain a safe working environment. They will also collaborate with other departments to align prep room activities with overall organizational goals and customer satisfaction objectives. Ultimately, the Prep Room Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high operational standards that contribute to the company’s reputation for excellence and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the prep room team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of materials and products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster skill development and maintain high performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and resolve any operational issues promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a prep room, manufacturing, or related environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and inventory management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • Experience in consumer support services or a similar industry.
  • Certification in workplace safety or quality management (e.g., OSHA, Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with Lean or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
