Practice Manager- Urology

About the Role

Indiana University Health is seeking a Practice Manager to join our Urology leadership team. This role is accountable for directing and facilitating management aspects for both patient care and clerical staff to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Practice Manager assists the Director in planning, directing, and overseeing operations within their areas of responsibility, including day-to-day supervision, financial management, and facility adequacy. This position ensures optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, external customers, and appropriate health system staff to exceed customer expectations and achieve service excellence.

This is a fully onsite role with a Monday-Friday day shift. Previous leadership and healthcare experience are preferred.

• Reports to: Medical Group Administrative Director
• Direct Reports: 15
• Key Relationships: Other specialties and clinics where they are visiting

Responsibilities

• Direct and facilitate management for patient care and clerical staff.
• Assist the Director in planning, directing, and overseeing operations within assigned areas.
• Provide day-to-day supervision in assigned patient services areas.
• Oversee financial management and facility adequacy.
• Maintain optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, external customers, and health system staff.
• Ensure service delivery exceeds the needs and expectations of customer bases.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Knowledge of third-party payer regulations.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a healthcare-related field with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent management experience within an ambulatory/physician practice setting.
• Preferred: At least three years of prior experience in a business office and clinical setting with management experience.
