Practice Manager - Neurology

Location: 2660 Main St, Bridgeport (10438). Monday–Friday schedule with travel required between offices.

About the role

Serves as a member of the management team, collaborating on organizational business issues, communicating key messages, and supporting and driving corporate initiatives. Oversees all activities of the assigned operational practice, providing leadership and direction to direct reports and providers while acting as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans and corresponding budgets by collaborating with physician leadership and corporate administration in strategic planning and marketing for the practice.
• Execute business plans by assigning accountability to appropriate staff and/or physicians, monitoring progress, making adjustments, and finding solutions to obstacles.
• Continuously identify ways to increase profitability; recommend and implement cost-effective strategies for the department.
• Maximize efficiency, productivity, and resource allocation; respond promptly and effectively to patient and provider concerns.
• Evaluate workflow and performance to ensure quality service and optimal productivity/efficiency.
• Analyze data reports and act on significant trends affecting overall department effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business through increased referrals, new or expanded services, regional expansion, or other revenue-enhancing activities.
• Lead improvement efforts through effective staff and provider involvement, project management, and communication.
• Implement changes and keep staff and providers informed with clear, concise communications.
• Refine, reorganize, or redirect workflow in a timely manner to optimize resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced clinical or business credentials preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of medical practice management experience, preferably in a multi-site practice.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Proven ability to provide effective business leadership to physicians.
