About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients receive the best quality of care at all times. The Practice Manager resolves most patient and employee issues and provides immediate guidance and supervision to all staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Opticians, Technicians, Patient Care Coordinators, and other staff.
• Work closely with the Lead OD to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Convey a customer-centric approach to service by leading staff performance, coaching, and developing staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Serve as a role model to the team.
• Collaborate with ODs to maintain the highest standard of patient care and workflow efficiency.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service vision with all customers and patients.
• Monitor all aspects of practice operations, provide on-the-job training, and support team members using core philosophies.
• Analyze practice financial data and recommend steps to optimize profitability.
• Recruit and select high-caliber talent.
• Ensure compliance with billing, staff behaviors, and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage product inventory and cost of goods.
• Conduct staff evaluations, performance management, and team trainings.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation.
• Preferred: optical experience and/or minimum of 2 years of retail management/supervisory experience.
• General understanding of operations, processes, and strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set, monitor, and achieve productivity goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and high attention to detail.
• Understanding of optometric business processes and strategic development.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Schedule

Full-time (exempt). Reporting structure may vary and could include the Lead OD, Director of Operations, or Area Manager.
