About the role
The Practice Manager provides direct supervision for the assigned CHC employees and maintains responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned clinic(s).
Responsibilities
- In partnership with the Center Medical Director, the Practice Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the daily practice operations.
- Responsible for recruitment, retention and competency of all staff working at the site.
- Manages practice staff to ensure positive patient/family experience.
- Establishes staffing schedules that support the clinical program, effective care delivery, and manages costs effectively.
- Initiates and supports process improvement activities that enhance the provision of clinical services, improve clinical outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.
- Establishes objectives and benchmarks to evaluate operational success for site managed and prepare reports to inform management team of status and progress towards goals.
- Builds and supports effective relationships with and between all individuals including staff, physicians, the community, patients, families, volunteers, and colleagues to assure the delivery of safe, quality patient care.
- Creates and sustains a culture based on trust, mutual respect, and common understanding of needs.
- Maintains inter and intra departmental relationships across the network to effectively promote the strategic operational goals of the network.
- Participates and collaborates with local community programs as appropriate to JPS strategic goals.
- Prepares annual budget ensuring financial stewardship for the facility in both operational and capital acquisition processes.
- Maintains an adequate system for internal control over financial interactions.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business or a health related field from an accredited University OR, in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, 5 plus years of medical office/practice management experience with 3 plus of those years being in a supervisory capacity.
- Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Solid understanding of physician productivity and professional fee billing.
